TrueConnect: Connections - Customizing Products
When a supplier invites a reseller to connect using TrueConnect, the supplier can choose to allow the reseller to customize connected products. This is an optional setting that can only be enabled at the time of the initial product connection.
If this setting is disabled and you need it enabled, the supplier will need to disconnect and re-invite you to sell that product. The option to allow customization is only available at the time of the initial connection.
Customizing Connected Products
Customizing a connected product works the same way as editing one of your own products. If you are unfamiliar with the process, refer to the Products section of our Support Center.
Things to keep in mind:
- If a field is grayed out, it cannot be edited. While you have freedom to customize connected products, not everything can be changed.
- You cannot edit inventory quantities, availability, or times.
- You can customize pricing, but avoid going lower than what the supplier sells it for. Any reductions come out of your own commission or net rate and could result in you owing the supplier money if you are selling at a loss.
Things you can do:
- Change the product name and details.
- Update marketing details and imagery to fit your own brand.
- Customize pricing, fees, and taxes.
- Add your own discounts and promo codes.
After making your changes, publish the product to make it available for your customers to purchase.
