What signing languages are available with WaiverSign?

WaiverSign supports English, Spanish, and French for the document signing process.

This feature has some behaviors that can be confusing on first use. If you run into any issues or confusion while setting up multilingual documents, we recommend reaching out to our Support team.

Setting Up Your Document in Multiple Languages

  1. Create your document in English first.
  2. Enable Show English as option during signing process so English remains available as a language choice for signers.
  3. Save and Publish your document. You must save and publish before switching languages, or you will not be able to add translations.
  4. Switch to Spanish or French in the editor and add your translations for that language.
  5. Save and publish again after adding each translation.

Important: What Is Shared Across Languages

Certain parts of your document are shared across all languages. Changes to these elements in one language will affect all languages:

  • Sections with initials or accept/decline: If you add a new section with optional initials or accept/decline in one language, it will appear in all languages. If you delete that section in any language, it is deleted from all languages.
  • Standard and custom field toggles: Turning a field on or off in one language will turn it on or off in all languages.

Translating Fields

Standard fields provided by WaiverSign (such as first name, last name, email, and date of birth) will automatically translate between English, Spanish, and French.

Custom fields will not auto-translate. You will need to provide your own translations for each custom field in each language.

Custom field translations must be entered manually. In the screenshot below, notice that the custom field labels need to be translated by the account owner for each language.
