How to create a WaiverSign signing link

After publishing your first document, navigate to Get Signing Link in WaiverSign to create a URL for your document(s). Select your preferences and the link at the bottom of the page will automatically update with the settings you chose.

If you want to shorten or customize your generated link, services like TinyURL and Bitly work well.

Select Documents

A list of all your published documents will appear in this section. Select the checkbox next to each document you want to include in the link.

All selected documents will be mandatory when a signer visits the generated link. If you do not want multiple documents to be required together, create separate links for each document.

Select Mode

  • Kiosk Mode: Use this when setting up an Android, iOS, or browser-based kiosk. The page will automatically reset after approximately 60 seconds if the signer goes idle, and after signing, the form will return to the first step for the next person.
  • Standard Mode: Use this when sending your link via email, SMS, adding it to your website, or any situation where someone will be signing from their own phone or computer.

Event Settings

If you have created one or more events, the Event Settings dropdown will appear with the following options:

  • Allow user to select from any event when signing: A dropdown of all available events will appear during the signing process for the signer to choose from. Events with a future date or no date will be listed.
  • Associate document(s) with a specific event: Creates a dedicated link for a specific event and the selected document(s).
  • Do not associate document(s) with a specific event: Use this if you do not need the events feature for this link.

Select Event

If you chose to associate documents with a specific event, this dropdown will appear showing all events with a future date or no associated date.

Event Date Settings

If the selected event has dates associated with it, you will see these additional options:

  • Allow user to select any future date: If multiple dates are available, a dropdown will appear for the signer to choose their participation date.
  • Associate a specific date with link: Locks the generated URL to a specific date.

Select Event Date

If you chose to associate a specific date and multiple dates are available, this dropdown lets you select which date to assign to the link.

If your event has one or more dates assigned, once all assigned dates have passed, the signing URL will automatically redirect to your standard waiver with a dropdown of all available future events.

You can assign a signed document to an event after the fact by selecting Edit Event in the Signed Documents section.

Finishing Up

Once you are happy with your settings, copy the link and you are ready to start collecting signatures.

Custom Landing Pages

The standard signing link requires signers to complete all documents assigned to that link. If your business needs more flexibility, such as allowing guests to choose which documents to sign based on the services they are using, our team can build a custom WaiverSign landing page for you. This is useful for businesses like spas or yoga studios that offer multiple services with different document requirements. Custom landing pages can also be installed in a kiosk for on-demand signing.
