Setting up WaiverSign on your iPad Kiosk is typically a very simple process. The following steps will lock your iPad to your WaiverSign signing link.

The process of setting up your iPad can become more complicated depending on how advanced your needs are. For the majority of WaiverSign clients, the basic configuration is all you need. This article will provide resources for either configuration.

Locking your iPad to your WaiverSign waiver ensures that your participants/signers do not stray away to other websites or menus on your iPad(s). Additionally, if someone begins the signing process and walks away for more than a minute, the app will automatically start over for the next person in line.

1.  Preparing your iPad.

Download Kiosk Pro Lite from the iOS App Store. This is a free application, though they do offer advanced features available at a one-time cost per device.

Please keep in mind that any "offline" features on the paid license of Kiosk Pro will not be compatible with WaiverSign. WaiverSign requires a stable internet connection when used in your Kiosk.

Once you have installed the app, find the "_HomePage_" option in the main menu of Kiosk Pro. Insert your WaiverSign Kiosk URL in that field.

While you're managing this step, we also recommend you scroll down to the "Content Refresh" section, and update your Idle Time Limit from the default 30 seconds to 90 seconds or more. This setting will force a reload of the webpage every 90 seconds if no one has interacted with the screen.

Warning: If you need your browser timeout to be longer than 60 seconds, do not use the "Kiosk Mode" URL from WaiverSign, instead, use the "Standard URL" from WaiverSign.

Note: If you don't know how to generate the Kiosk URL, please see this article or contact the support team.

3. Locking your Device

Next you'll need to lock your device to Kiosk Pro. We recommend the basic configuration, using the Guided Access feature of iOS. There are upsides and downsides to Guided Access, all of the downsides are addressed by using iOS Single App Mode (a far more complicated solution).

To turn on Guided Access, open the Settings menu of your iPad, and look for accessibility settings. In the accessibility settings you will find the option for enabling guided access, as well as setting up your guided access passcode.

Note: To learn more about setting up guided access, the pros and cons of guided access, and other options available, see this article from the Kiosk Pro Knowledge Base.
The Resmark Support Team can only assist you with your kiosk if you're using Guided Access as your method of locking your iPad, so we recommend avoiding the other solutions unless you know what you're doing.

4. Enable Guided Access in Kiosk Pro

After you have enabled Guided Access from the Accessibility Settings of your iPad, you will simply need to enable it from Kiosk Pro.

To enable guided access in Kiosk Pro, do the following:
Step 1: Open the Kiosk Pro App
Step 2: Triple-click the home button on your iPad.
- If you've previously used guided access, it will begin immediately.
- If this is your first time using guided access a confirmation menu will pop up asking you to select "start" or "resume" at the top right corner of the screen.

To exit guided access, triple-click the home button and enter your passcode. The option to "end" guided access will be at the top left corner of the screen.
