How do I set up a Chrome OS Kiosk?

You can set up WaiverSign as a kiosk on any device running Chrome OS using the Kiosk for Chrome app. This app is also compatible with Mac and Windows computers running Google Chrome, though results may vary outside of Chrome OS.

Google is ending support for Chrome apps on Chrome OS. Chrome app kiosk mode support ends with Chrome OS version 150 (July 2026), with full Chrome app end of life scheduled for January 2028. If you are setting up a new kiosk, we recommend using an Android tablet or iPad instead. Contact our Support team if you need help choosing an alternative.

The following steps will lock your Chrome OS device to your WaiverSign signing link, preventing signers from navigating to other websites or menus. If someone begins signing and walks away, the app will automatically reset for the next person.

We strongly recommend using a touchscreen device and avoiding giving guests access to a physical keyboard. Anyone familiar with keyboard shortcuts could close the kiosk app and access the full system.

Preparing Your Device

  1. Download Kiosk for Chrome to your device.
  2. Generate your WaiverSign kiosk URL.

Configuring Kiosk Settings

Troubleshooting

  • If the app launches with a solid white screen, restart the application. This is common after changing settings.
  • To open the kiosk settings at any time, press Ctrl+A.
  • If your waiver is not loading, verify that your kiosk URL from WaiverSign is entered correctly.
  • For all other issues, contact our Support team.
