How do I set up a Chrome OS Kiosk?

Setting up WaiverSign using Chrome OS is a relatively simple process, all you need is any device running Chrome OS and a stable internet connection.

This article will cover using an extension called Kiosk for Chrome. This extension is also compatible when using a Mac or Windows computer with the Google Chrome Web Browser installed.

Note: Please keep in mind that Chrome OS is an operating system, so your mileage may vary following these instructions on a Mac or Windows computer.

The following steps will lock your Chrome OS computer to your WaiverSign waiver, ensuring that your participants/signers do not stray away to other websites or menus on your computer. Additionally, if someone begins the signing process and walks away for more than a minute, the app will automatically start over for the next person in line.

Warning: We HIGHLY recommend that you use a touchscreen computer, and avoid giving your guests access to a physical keyboard -- anyone familiar with keyboard shortcuts would have the ability to close the Kiosk Application and gain full access to your machine.

Troubleshooting the App

If the Kiosk Application launches with a solid white screen, reboot the application. This is a common issue when changing any Kiosk settings.
If you need to open your Kiosk Settings, you can do so at any time by pressing 'Ctrl A'.
If your Waiver isn't loading, verify that your Kiosk URL from WaiverSign is entered correctly.
