How do I set up my payment settings in Resmark?
If you sell your own products with Resmark, you will need to configure your payment settings at Settings > Payment before you can begin accepting orders.
Product resellers using TrueConnect with Net Rate enabled (rather than Commission) are also required to set up payment settings. Resellers who only use Commission do not need to configure payment processing, as commission payments are handled through the supplier's settings.
Take Payments Inside Resmark
When you first access the Payment Settings page, you will need to specify the currency you settle in and the country where your bank and business are located.

- If you are located inside the USA, you will be prompted to sign up for a ProPay Merchant Services account. If you already have a ProPay account or would like to use a different merchant services provider, contact Support to learn more.
- If you are located outside the USA, contact Resmark Support to configure your merchant services account or to set up payments outside of Resmark.
Take Payments Outside Resmark
You can opt out of using a merchant services account and accept payments strictly outside of Resmark. If you choose this option, the only available payment methods will be Cash, Check, and Custom. Credit card options (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, and Discover) will be disabled, as customers will no longer be able to make payments through Resmark.
If you accept credit cards or payments through another service (such as Square or Clover), you can create a custom payment method to differentiate between cash, check, and credit card transactions.
Example: A custom payment type called "Square - Credit Card"

When placing an order internally, you will now see the option to pay via "Square - Credit Card" along with a field to add a memo or note. This is the ideal place to enter a receipt or transaction number from your third-party payment system.
