How do I set up my payment settings in Resmark?

If you're selling your own products with Resmark, you will need to set up your Payment Settings (Settings > Payment) before you can begin selling.

Product resellers using TrueConnect with Net Rate enabled (rather than Commission) are also required to set up payment settings. Resellers who are only reselling at a Commission are not required to set up Payment Processing Settings (as Commission payments are processed using the Supplier settings).

Take Payments Inside Resmark

When first accessing the Payment Settings page, you'll need to specify which currency you'll be settling with, and which country your bank and business are located.

If you're located inside the USA, you'll be prompted to sign up for a ProPay Merchant Services account. If you have an existing ProPay account or would like to use a different Merchant Services account, please contact Support to learn more.
If you're located outside the USA, you will need to contact Resmark Support to configure your Merchant Services account or take payments outside of Resmark.

Take Payments Outside Resmark

You can opt-out of using a Merchant Services account and strictly accept payments outside of Resmark. If you do this, the only payment methods available will be Cash, Check, and Custom. The options for Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, and Discover will be disabled, as your customers will no longer have the option to make a payment through Resmark.

If you accept Credit Cards or payments through another service (such as Square, Clover, etc), you can create a custom payment method so you can differentiate cash, check, or credit card. See an example of what that would look like below.

Custom payment type created "Square - Credit Card"

When placing an order internally, I'll now have the option to pay via "Square - Credit Card" and a place to add a memo/note. This would be the ideal place for putting a receipt or transaction number from your 3rd party payment system.
