How to set up taxes for products
Taxes can quickly and easily be set up during the product creation process, or by navigating to Settings > Taxes.
If taxes are applicable to your product, creating a tax only takes a few moments to set up. When creating or editing a product you have the option to quickly and easily set up a new tax, or add an existing tax.
You have the following options when setting up a new Tax:
Tax Name is the name you give your tax, it will show up throughout the app and on order confirmations.
Percentage or Flat determines if the tax is a percentage or flat amount.
Amount is the $ or % that the will be charged to your customer.
Valid From is the date that this tax goes into effect.
Valid Through Date is the date this tax expires (optional).
Apply Tax to Selected Products lets you select which products you would like your tax to be associated with. Allowing you to pick and choose which products are effected.
If you ever need to make revisions to your tax, you can do so by going to Settings > Taxes.
