How do I set up my product inventory: Save as Template & Generate Inventory

This article covers saving inventory settings as templates and generating inventory in Resmark. You can find these options in Products > Inventory.

After you have configured your inventory settings, you have two options:

After completing either option, you can go back and edit or reuse any template you previously saved. To do this, go to Products > Inventory > Manage Templates.

Manage Templates in the Inventory section

There are three automation status levels for your inventory templates. For more information, see Template Automation Status.

Caution: All changes to templates will only impact future generated inventory. For more information about editing existing inventory, see Manually Update Inventory.

Save as Template

Saving your inventory settings as a template makes it easy to come back later and generate additional inventory using the same configuration. If you save as a template without generating inventory, the Inventory tab will only show a list of available templates until inventory has been generated.

Generate Inventory and Save as Template

Resmark supports both automated and manual inventory creation. The generation process will vary depending on how you configured your date settings and automation settings.

To generate inventory, select Generate Inventory at the bottom of the page. If you enabled Automatically Create My Inventory Continually, you will be required to save your settings as a template. If you selected Variable Dates or Manually Create Inventory Up To A Specific Date, read on.

Note: If you have already generated inventory, you need to open an existing template or create a new one to generate additional inventory.
