How do I set up my product inventory: General Settings

These settings control how your customers can place orders and when they can do so. You can find them in the Inventory section of your products.


After you have set up your inventory date settings, you will need to define your general settings.


General inventory settings overview


The following options are available:


Purchase


  • Allow online order -- Customers can purchase online from your website or the Resmark widget.
  • Do not allow online orders -- Customers must contact you directly or in person to place an order.


Confirm


  • Confirm automatically -- Orders placed online or in the application are automatically set to confirmed status.
  • Confirm manually -- The customer receives a confirmation, but the order is placed in "Pending" status until you confirm that you are able to service it. Once you manually confirm, any pending payment will be processed and the customer will receive an updated confirmation.


Restrict Orders Within Specified Hours/Minutes of Start Time


If you do not want last-minute orders, you can restrict orders from being placed within a specified number of hours or minutes before the start time. For example, with a 24-hour restriction, if your product starts at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, only orders placed before 9:00 AM on Monday will be accepted from outside sources. Customers who attempt to order after the cutoff will be prompted to contact you.


Note: Internal users can still create orders up to the start time regardless of this restriction.
