# How do I set up an iPad kiosk?

Setting up WaiverSign on an iPad kiosk is a straightforward process. The following steps will lock your iPad to your WaiverSign signing link, so signers cannot navigate away to other websites or apps. If someone begins signing and walks away, the app will automatically reset for the next person.

For most WaiverSign clients, the basic configuration covered in this article is all you need.

### 1. Install Kiosk Pro Basic

Download and Install [Kiosk Pro Basic](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/kiosk-pro-basic/id409918026) (one time fee of $25).

Visit the [Kiosk Pro website](https://www.kioskgroup.com/pages/kiosk-pro-tour) for current pricing and feature comparisons, as our knowledge base may not be up-to-date with their current pricing. Note: We used to recommend Kiosk Pro Lite, however that app now requires a $5/mo subscription.

| Any "offline" features in the paid versions of Kiosk Pro are not compatible with WaiverSign. WaiverSign requires a stable internet connection when used as a kiosk.

### 2. Add Your WaiverSign Link

1. Open Kiosk Pro and find the **HomePage** option in the main menu.
2. Paste your WaiverSign kiosk URL into that field.
3. Scroll down to the **Content Refresh** section and update the **Idle Time Limit** from the default 30 seconds to 90 seconds or more. This setting reloads the page if no one interacts with the screen for the specified time.

|| If you need your idle timeout to be longer than 60 seconds, use the **Standard URL** from WaiverSign instead of the kiosk URL. The kiosk URL has a built-in 60-second timeout that will override the Kiosk Pro setting.

### 3. Lock Your iPad with Guided Access

Guided Access is a built-in iOS accessibility feature that locks your iPad to a single app. This is the recommended method for most WaiverSign kiosk setups.

To enable Guided Access:

1. Open **Settings** on your iPad.
2. Go to **Accessibility > Guided Access**.
3. Toggle **Guided Access** on and set your passcode.

### 4. Start Guided Access in Kiosk Pro

1. Open the Kiosk Pro app.
2. Triple-click the **home button** (on iPads with a home button) or the **side button** (on newer iPads without a home button).
3. If this is your first time using Guided Access, a confirmation screen will appear. Tap **Start** in the top right corner. If you have used it before, it will begin immediately.

To exit Guided Access, triple-click the same button and enter your passcode. The option to **End** will appear in the top left corner.

||| For more details on Guided Access, including pros and cons compared to Single App Mode and other advanced options, see [Locking the device to Kiosk Pro](https://support.kioskgroup.com/article/885-locking-device-to-kiosk-pro) from the Kiosk Pro Knowledge Base. Our Support team can assist with kiosk setup when using Guided Access. For other locking methods, we recommend following Kiosk Pro's documentation.
