# Advanced search using custom fields in WaiverSign

In addition to searching signed documents by date, name, or email, you can also search by custom field values.

| To use this feature, you first need to have custom fields added to your document. ### Searching by Custom Field

1. Navigate to **Signed Documents**.
2. At the top of the page, select the custom field you want to search by.

You can search by the field alone to see all documents where that field has a value:

Or refine your search further by entering a specific answer you are looking for:

| This works best with List or Checkbox type custom fields, since their answers are standardized.

### Exporting Results

After finding the documents you need, you can export the results by clicking **Export Contacts** or **Export Documents**, located below the blue search button.
